Q: What countries do you import your castings/machining from?
A: Primarily China. China offers huge advantages such as price, quality and capacity.
Q: What are the advantages of importing from China?
A: Historically the answer has simply been price. Now the quality has really improved to the point where it is a great selling tool in itself. It has become very common for our customers to feel that they are receiving better quality parts than they were receiving from their domestic supplier. One of the great advantages of importing is the ability to offer a "process upgrade" at a far superior price. Many of our customers who are buying sand castings in the U.S. are opting to purchase shell molded or investment castings from us. We are able to offer the aesthetically superior castings delivered at a better price than a domestic sand casting!
Q: How do I arrange shipping and customs paperwork for my parts?
A: It's all taken care of by us! When you order a part, the price quoted is FOB our warehouse..either Waynesboro, PA or Hagerstown, MD. There are no shipping /customs papers to worry you.
Q:I heard that I must purchase an entire 40,000 pound container at one time. Is this true?
A: Absolutely not! When you purchase parts from us in smaller quantities, we mix/match containers so you don't have to worry about huge order quantities. Many of our customers buy as few as 100 pieces at a time. That being said, importing generally becomes economically viable when ordering at least 2000 pounds per part number.
Importing is no longer an option only for huge companies. Small businessesnow have the opportunity to achieve big cost savings!
